What is Taffy?

One link for tips, gifts, donations and contributions. Supporters pay from any card, with no app and no account. Payments run on Stripe, which verifies every creator and screens every payment for fraud.

Fees, and who pays them

Each payment carries a fee. The rate comes from the plan of the person paying:

• Taffy Free, and anyone who isn't signed in: 99¢ + 3.2% per payment.
• Taffy Sweet Spot members, on payments they make: 69¢ + 3.0% per payment.

On a pay page or a Candy Jar, the supporter chooses whether to cover the fee or have it come out of the payment. Your own plan sets the rate on payments you make, not on payments you receive. See pricing

When do payouts arrive?

Payouts arrive automatically on Stripe's schedule, to the bank account or debit card you add when you set up payouts. Your first payout can take a little longer while Stripe checks your details.

Want it sooner? 7 days after you set up payouts, you can cash out instantly to an eligible debit card from your dashboard. Instant cash-out has a small fee, and we show it before you confirm. It usually lands within 30 minutes.

Refunds

Paid by mistake, or think a payment was fraud? Email support@heytaffy.com with the date, amount and the page you paid. We refund fraud and mistakes to the original card.

There's no refund button in Taffy yet. If you're a creator and a supporter asks for their money back, email us and we'll help. Once a refund is issued, it can take 5 to 10 business days to show on the card statement.

Saw a Taffy charge on your statement?

If you paid a creator's Taffy link or Candy Jar, the charge on your card is from Taffy.

Don't recognise it? Email support@heytaffy.com with the date and amount, and we'll help you find out what it was. If it was a mistake or fraud, see Refunds.

Who can use Taffy?

Supporters pay with a card and don't need an account or the app. To get paid on Taffy, you need to be a US-based individual 18+ with a US bank account or debit card.

Closing your account

Go to Settings > Privacy > Close your account. On Taffy Sweet Spot? Cancel it first in Settings > Manage billing. You can close your account once the plan has ended.
